After 16 years trading from the 62a, West Street Dorking and establishing a reputation as one of the leading antique clockshops in the South-East, I have finally decided to retire from the retail side of the business and concentrate on the ever-growing demand for the repair and restoration of antique clocks.

Since the 20th of June 2007, under the umbrella of our new company, Surrey Clock Repairs, my colleagues and I are offering the same, high quality repair and restoration service that we have in the past, whether you just need a house call to fix something on the spot, or whether you want your clock taken into our workshops for a complete overhaul.

So, now, you won’t even have to lug your clock down to Dorking, since we will now collect the items and return them to your door when the work has been carried out. This will give you the added advantage that when we bring the clock back to you, we can also set it up in situ, to make sure it is running properly.

Repair costs will remain in line with recent charges for clocks collected within a 20 mile radius of Dorking. An additional charge for collections beyond this radius, or where a congestion charge is applicable, can be negotiated on an individual basis.

All our work is guaranteed for one year.

We can repair virtually any type of antique clock. We don’t just give your clock a quick wash through, we strip it right down, clean it thoroughly in sonic tanks, and polish every single part before re-assembly. Re-bushing is standard, where required, but we can also re-pivot, mend broken teeth, have new wheels and pinions cut and replace most broken or badly worn parts.

We can also repair and restore painted clock dials and re-silver brass dials.

As in the past, we can provide a complete restoration service for wooden clock cases.
